Schools of Hope

Robert L. Stevens School partners with The United Way and Viavi in the Schools of Hope Reading Program. Under the direction of the classroom teacher, first and second grade students in need of a little extra reading boost are partnered with volunteers for one-on-one basic skills review and reading practice.Students enjoy the personalized attention and volunteers get a chance to donate half an hour a week making a difference in the lives of emerging readers.
